Many of the leaves have fallen and are breaking down into mulch, which is much appreciated by gardeners, hedgehogs, insects and birdlife, not to mention the young hearted walking in wellies.
The trees take on their late autumn, early winter appearance. As the light changes throughout the day and night, it picks out a particular facet of a tree. One of my favourite light shows is to see the barks lit up from the base of the trees.
