This is the remains of Greyfriars, awaiting further conservation under the protection of English Heritage

Not surprisingly, Gloucester still has many schools steeped in history, Crypt, Sir Thomas Rich's (formerly Bluecoats) and indeed Gloucester was where Robert Raikes set up Sunday Schools providing education for the working classes
